The Hornet is a modular back lit luminaire designed with variable configurations to fit any SAS or Burgess Ceiling.
The Hornet can be supplied with the latest G2 Philips Fortimo with Philips SimpleSet calibration or the latest Tridonic QLE G4 LED system. both systems carry a 5 year warranty with a longevity of at least 50,000 hours.
The luminaire is constructed from white powder coated steel with a brushed aluminium interface tray and nanoptic printed polycarbonate diffuser – the product therefore comes as standard with (TPa) fire rating.
All modular luminares are supplied with a panel mount socket as standard which makes for a higher quality finish and fast installation (no hard fixing). All electronic gear and components are housed with in the product on the interface tray which makes the luminaire easy to handle and gives the product a minimalist appearance.

Standard & Bespoke Bezel Options
The Hornet has many standard bezel options to allow the luminaire to integrate into any ceiling type including plasterboard. Features also include allowing for a drop tegulation below the ceiling plane to match various ceiling tile products. RAL colour can also be specified to allow the Hornet to seamlessly match ceiling tile aesthetics.
Bespoke bezel options and luminaire sizes are also available upon request.
NFC Smart Programming
Using Philips SimpleSet Technology the Hornet can be preset (Fixed Output & DALI) to the required lumen output to reflect what was used for the lighting calculations without the need for the analogue type resistors.
Another benefit to this technology is post luminaire installation. The NFC commissioning tool makes it easy to adjust any luminaire output without having to deconstruct the product. Simply having access to press the tool against the geartray plate will allow re-calibration to the desired settings in seconds.
